Best Places to Visit in Ranakpur

Ranakpur Temples:
Ranakpur is mainly famous for its beautiful temples. Located about 90 KM from Udaipur, the Ranakpur temple complex is a must visit place. The complex contains Chaumukha temple (Four-Faced Temple) that is dedicated to Adinathji, the first tirthankar. The 2 other Jain temples in the complex are devoted to Parasnath and Neminath. The complex also consists of a Sun temple and the Amba Mata temple (located close to main temple complex). So, don't miss a visit to this temple cpmplex during your Ranakpur tour.

Sadri:
Located approximately 8 KM from Ranakpur is Sadri. The main attractions of this place are its magnificent temples. The oldest of them are the Chintamani Parasvanath Temple and Varahavtar Temple.

Desuri:
Desuri town is approximately 16 KM from Ranakpur. This town is famous for a number of temples, amongst them the most noteworthy ones are those dedicated to Lord Shiva, Navi Mata and Lord Hanuman. There is also an old mosque here, which is worth a visit.

Ghanerao:
Ghanerao is renowned for a number of Hindu temples. The most impressive temple is of Gajanand. This temple houses a life-size statue of the goddesses Siddhi and Ridhi. Then, there is a temple of Lord Mahavira that dates back to 10th century.

Narlai:
Located around 6 KM from Ranakpur, Narlai is cuddled at the base of a hill. Narlai is known for a large number of Jain and Hindu temples. For calm walks, this place also houses a good baori (step-well). Muchhal Mahaveer and Falna are some other popular attractions.
