Tirupati, India

Tirupati Balaji Temple

Balaji Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara which means Hindu God Vishnu. It is said that by visiting this temple, one can get salvation by worshipping Shri Venkateswara at Tirupati. Venkateswara Temple

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a landmark Vaishnavite Temple situated in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Vishnu and is located on the 7th peak of the Tirupati Hills. The temple is constructed in Dravidian architectural style and is believed to be constructed over a period of time starting from 300 AD.

Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple

Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple is one of the most famous and important temple in tirupati. The functions and many festivals are similar to those are conducted in the Sri Venkateswara temple. The annual Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated at this temple in the month of Vaisakha every year.

Narayanavanam

It is a small village situated at a distance of about 42 kms from Tirupati. It is one of the beautiful tourist attractions near Tirupati. This village is popular for an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Kalyana Venkateswara. It is also known as the holy venue of the mythical and divine wedding between Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi.

Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple

Situated at foot of the Tirumala Hills, Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple is the only South Indian temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in Tirupati. The temple enjoys a fabulous architecture and has got a natural waterfall called as Kapila Teertham or Alwar Teertham.

Talakona Waterfall

It is the highest waterfall in the state that falls from a height of 270 feet. The views of the waterfall are really extravagant. Visit the place during rainy season when the water is wonderfully clear and cold. The 240-meters long walk on canopy rope will be exciting.

TTD Gardens

Located next to the main temple, the gardens display an impressive collection of flowers. The garden is a visual treat, which boasts of greenery everywhere along with vibrant beautiful flowers. There are several ponds and tanks in the garden; which is a source of water supply for the locals and the pilgrims. The fragrance and the colors of the flowers are amazing.

Deer Park

It is one of the most important tourist attractions in Tirupati. Despite named as Deer Park, it is home to different kinds of animals. But, deer is the most common animal to spot here. The scenic atmosphere of the park is going to mesmerize you.

Sri Vari Museum

Situated in Tirumala, this museum is the showcase of the history of the temple and displays a collection of artifacts, pictures, sculptures, scriptures and photographs.

Srikalahasti

Situated on the banks of Swarnamukhi River, it is one of the most sought after destinations for pilgrims. People worship Shiva Linga here as Vayu Linga. A lamp constantly glimmers in the sanctum.

Kanipakam

It is a very well-known pilgrimage of the area. It is said that the idol of Lord Ganesha increases here in size. This 11th century temple was constructed by the famous Chola king – Kullottunga. It was modified by the kings of Vijayanagar during 14th century.

Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park

Spread over an area of 506 km², Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park was founded in September 1987. This park displays various quotes from Hindu Mythology and ancient Indian epics. The park is categorized into diverse sections and each of the animals is named on some mythological figures.
