Best Places to Visit in Baripada

Goddess Kichakeswar Temple:
Known for its stone carvings, this place named Khiching is situated near Baripada. It used to be the capital of Bhania rulers. Goddess Kichakeswar temple is the most popular temple amongst all. This temple is made out of chlorite slabs. The temple contains brilliantly carved sculptures.

Baripada Museum:
It is a very intriguing site. This museum displays historic artifacts and ancient sculptures, which were found within the area of Mayurbhanj.

Simlipal National Park and Tiger reserve:
The Simlipal National Park and Tiger reserve is a protected wildlife site and carries out Project Tiger initiatives. This national reserve has 95 tigers, along with elephants, leopards, crocodiles and 230 species of birds. It also has several stunning waterfalls, but the most beautiful ones are Barehipani falls (399 meters) and Jordan Falls (150 meters).
