Best Places to Visit in Chamoli

Gopeshwar:
Situated at an altitude of 1, 308 meters in Uttarakhand state, Gopeshwar is Small Township in Chamoli district. It is mainly famous for its pleasant weather and temples. It is an important Hindu pilgrimage site and features a numerous temples.

Yogdhyan Badri:
It is an ancient temple located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The temple has great religious significance among the locals and tourists from all over India. The main deity of temple is an idol in a meditative posture. It is believed that after giving the kingdom of Hastinapur to King Parikshit, Pandavas retired at this place.

Vasuki Tal:
Situated at an elevation of 14,200 feet, Vasuki Tal is an important attraction of Chamoli trip. It can be reached by following an 8 kms trek through the Vyas Cave, Ganesh Cave, Bhimpul and Vasudhara Falls. All these places are important for pilgrimage in this region.

Tapt Kund and Surya Kund:
This is a confluence of two natural hot water Sulphur springs. The water of this place has medicinal properties and one can get cure of his diseases after taking bath in this spring.
