Established in the year 1989, the Yangoupokpi-Lokchao Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the Indo-Myanmar border in the district of Chandel, which stands extended over an area of about 185 sq km. Wildlife lovers can spot a variety of animals here like, 6 species of amphibians, 42 species of mammalians, 29 kinds of reptiles, 86 species of fish and 74 types of birds.
