Located in the north-east corner of Dhenkanal town 26 KM from the district headquarters, this temple is sited around 2239 feet above the sea level. It is known that Narasinghdeva-I built this temple for Sri Chandrasekhar in 1246 CE.
It is a place of natural beauty, where the holy temple of Maryada Purushottama Sri Ramchandra is situated at around 900 feet at the hilltop.
This iconic temple belongs to Sri Sri Naganatheswar Shiva. It is located at village Nagena about 20 KM from Dhenkanal. It is believed that this ancient Shiva temple was built during the region of the Keshari dynasty.
