Kapil Muni Temple:
This temple is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Gangasagar (Sagar Island or Sagardwip). The temple has been destroyed and washed away by many storms through times and the present temple is the fourth one that was built in 1973. The temple has a lot of religious significance in the region and attracts huge number of pilgrims towards it. Other holy places to visit in here are, the Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangha temple and the Omkarnath temple.

Gangasagar Pilgrimage and Fair:
Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair is the second largest people attending worship of after the holy Kumbha Mela. It is held annually on the Sagar Island's southern tip in the Ganges delta right atop the Bay of Bengal, which makes Gangasagar all the more unique.
