Himalayan zoological park was established in 1991. It is Just above Ganesh Tok at a distance of 9 km from Gangtok. This Zoological Park contains an area of 210 hectares. This area is also known as Bulbuley. Large area of the zoological Park is covered with forests that house Blue Sheep, Himalayan Black Bea, Musk Deer, and Barking Deer and Red Panda. It is such kind of park where tourists can trace animals. Zoological Park is controlled by the government of Sikkim under the department of forest, environment and wildlife.
Deer park offers good and wonderful view of the hills surrounding Gangtok. It is also called the Rustomji Park. This park has a big open natural enclosure in which visitors can see many different types of deer. Khangchendzonga National Park is a beautiful park in Gangtok, located in the largest district of Sikkim. This national park covers an area of 845 sq km.
