Khajjiar, India

Khaji Nag Temple

Khajinag Temple is an important temple of Khajjiar, which is why the town is called as Khajjiar. It is among the holiest and ancient temples of Himachal. Located close to the famous Khajjiar Lake, the temple dates back to the 12th century. The temple is dedicated to Khajji Nag, who is Lord of the serpents. Its wooden sanctum enjoys intricate carvings and its mandapam has the images of the Pandavas’ victory over the Kaurvas.

Golden Devi Temple

Golden Devi Temple is named so because of being decorated with a golden dome and spire. Located on one side of the Khajjiar Lake, the golden spire of the temple is the key attraction of it. It attracts a number of devotees.

Khajjiar Lake

Khajjiar Lake is a small lake, which is surrounded by saucer-shaped lush green meadow and a hanging island. The intense expansion of wild flowers called 'vacha' makes its land soft. It is one of the must visit attractions in Khajjiar.

Lord Shiva Statue
