Mount Abu, India

Positioned at the isolated highland of Aravali range at an elevation of about 4000 feet above the sea level, Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan. Dilwara Jain Temples

Dilwara Jain Temples are one of the most admired places to visit in Mount Abu. These temples are entirely made of marbles and enjoy great carvings. The temples consist of five major sections devoted to five Jain Tirthankars. These five Jain Tirthankars are Shri Adi Nathji temple, Shri Neminathji temple, Rishabha Devji temple, Shri Parshva Nathji temple and Shri Mahavir Swamiji temple.

Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake is an artificial lake situated at a height of 1200 meters above sea level. It is also called as the heart of Mount Abu. The picturesque view of this lake is enriched with its surroundings. The views of mountains, gardens and rock formations make it an ideal location for photography.

Achalgarh Fort

Achalgarh Fort was built by Rana Kumbha in the year 1452. It is situated at a distance 10 km from Mount Abu. The fort is surrounded by huge security walls and situated at the top of the mount peak.

Achleshwar Mahadev Temple

The temple is famous for its exclusive statue of Nandi, a bull of Lord Shiva. The idol is said to be made of 5 metals including, silver, copper, brass and zinc. The weight of the idol is around 4 tons.

Sunset Point

Sunset Point is located in South West of Nakki Lake. The point is being visited in the evening to enjoy the stunning sunset views from here. You can find here many photographers and small snack vendors offering light snacks & tea.

Guru Shikhar

It is a peak and situated at an altitude of 5,677 feet above the sea level. It is the highest point in Rajasthan offering breathtaking view of entire Mount Abu. It is located at a distance of 14 km from Mount Abu. The point a temple of Dattatreya and provides a panoramic views of the neighboring areas.

Shri Raghunathji Temple

Shri Raghunathji temple is dedicated to Shri Raghunathji. This temple is located near the ‘Nakki’ lake, with a beautiful image of the deity.

You have to climb 733 steps to reach Gaumukh and then 30 steps to reach the temple. There is cow head like structure as the main deity of the temple.
