Mukteshwar Temple:
It is one of the holy places to visit in the town. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and supposed to be a popular pilgrimage center in this region. In fact, the town has received its name on this temple. It is situated on the top of a hill and can be reached through a series of vertical stone stairs. The temple features a marble Shivling and idols of some other lords & goddesses.
Chauthi Jali:
It is a historical place located adjacent to the Mukteshwar temple. It is said that a demon and a goddess fought a battle at this place.

This is an important site of the town having all advanced research facilities. Inside the institute campus, you can also find a library and a museum.
