Visit in Patnitop

With awesome views and charming landscapes, Patnitop enjoys the highest splendor of Jammu & Kashmir. The Naag (Cobra) Temple

Naag Temple is located close to Mantalai at Krimchi, a place where the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati had been organized. The temple is supposed to be one of the oldest places in Patnitop, which is about 600 years old. Situated on the top of a hill, this temple invites thousands of devotees during Naag Panchami Festival.

Mantalai Lake

Mantalai Lake is the source of River Parvati and enjoys scenic beauty of this valley. It offers a challenging trek to the adventurers coming on this route. There is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva close to this temple. At this place, Goddess Parvati was born and also got married to Lord Shiva. The main shrine of the temple is very small and features Ma Parvati as kanya. Shivlingam is the main deity of this temple. A divine rock linked to the wedding of both can also be seen here.

Sudh Mahadev Temple

It is an important pilgrimage site in Patnitop and one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva in Udhampur. In the premises of the temple, there is a Trident (Trishul) that is called as 'Gaja'. The holy Trident has been mentioned in the ancient manuscript that forms a significant topic of research for the archeological department.

Shiva Garh

It is also a famous attraction in Patnitop, which is situated at the trekking route located in Patnitop. This amazing tourist attraction is positioned at an elevation of about 3,500 meters. The main temple, which is in ruins, is located about 11 km away from Patnitop.

Shivkhori

It is an excursion to Patnitop, which is about 150 km away from the place. At this village, Lord Shiva is worshipped in different forms. It is one of the most respected cave shrines of Lord Shiva in the region. The holy cave is about 150 meters long & houses 4 feet high Shiv Lingum, which is constantly being washed in a milky lime fluid dropping from the ceiling.

Nathatop

It is also a beautiful hill station located about 14 km away from Patnitop. If you are visiting Patnitop, don’t forget to include this beautiful place in your itinerary. Madhatop

Madhatop is a trek of 5 km from Patnitop that attracts travelers of different tastes. Embraced by hilly slopes, twists and fixed courts along skiing trails, this tourist attraction becomes an ideal place for amateur skiers. Along with adventurous activities, Madhatop is famous for fresh water springs.

Kud

It is one of the prominent tourist attractions of Patnitop, which is located about 32 km away from Patnitop on Udhampur-Srinagar Highway. This beautiful town is located in the lower part of the Himalayan range which has an average elevation of about 1855 meters.
