Ri Bhoi, India

Umiam Lake:
This lake is a reservoir located in the hills, 15 KM to the north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. This lake was created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s. The lake offers water sports like - sailing, water scooter, water skiing etc.
Dwar Ksuid:
Dwar Ksuid is situated in Khapmara, Bhoilymbong area of Umroi. It is also called as the "Lover Paradise". Dwar Ksuid literally means the Devil's Doorway. Here, we find a Door like stone on the famous river Umiam. Here, tourists can enjoy the beauty of a river and its natural surroundings.
Nongkhyllem Wild Life Sanctuary:
Located close to the Lailad village in Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya, this wildlife sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife explorers. It is located close to the Orchid Lake Resort, at Umiam, about 15 KM from Shillong, in the state of Meghalaya. Lum Nehru Park is well known for its orchid-house, aviary and well-maintained lawns.
Lum Sohpetbneng:
It is also called as 'Naval of Heaven or Heavenly Peak'. This peak is situated on the Shillong-Guwahati Road at Umiam, around 16 KM from the state capital- Shillong. This place is bestowed with great natural beauty.
