Rohtak, India

Traditionally, this place is named after Raja Rohtash in whose days' city is said to have been founded. As per legends, it is said that prior to this town's existence, it was the site of a forest of 'Rohitaka' trees and that's why, its name became Rohtak. Khokar Fort:

Dini Mosque or Adina Mosque:
Rohtak has a number of old mosques, some of which remind of elegant Muslim structures. Dini Mosque or Adina Mosque is the oldest among these. At the north end of this mosque was a 'tehkhana' (underground cell).
Goakaran Tank:
It is an old and mythical tank called Goakaran tank, which is actually a complex of structures with ghats on three sides and includes temples of Lord Shiva, Devi and Hanuman. In addition, you would found a Dharamshala and a park close at hand.
Bhindawas Lake:
Bhindawas Lake, officially declared a wildlife sanctuary since 1985 houses thousands of birds. It sprawls over an area of more than 1,000 acres. Bhindawas is the largest wetland of Haryana (80 KM from Delhi). The lake covers 12 KM of land, which was used for crop cultivation before it was flooded.
Durga Bhawan Mandir:
It is one of the famous temples in the city. The temple is dedicated to 'Goddess Durga' who is the Hindu Goddess. The carving and sculptures are quite captivating in the Rohtak.
Tilyar Lake:
It is one of the major tourist attractions in the Indian state of Haryana. Tilyar Lake is a popular picnic spot in Rohtak District of Haryana.
