Patna Museum displays a large collection of items discovered by excavation at Patna and its nearby places. The museum features an array of stone and bronze sculptures and several art works of Hindu and Buddhist artists. These artifacts are the part of the ancient and medieval phase of Indian history.This oval shaped granary was built for storing grains. From the base, Golghar is 125 meters wide and its walls are 3.6 meters thick. The place enjoys the panoramic and picturesque view of Patna from the top of the building.
