New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest railhead from Darjeeling that links the destination with different important cities. It is connected to Delhi and Kolkata by Guwahati Rajdhani and Darjeeling Mail respectively. Toy train also runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling except in Rainy Season.
